“‘Til There Was You” was the first film that Angel had an opportunity to work on as a composer, starring up and comers Jeanne Tripplehorn, Dylan McDermott and Sarah Jessica Parker. There were specific scenes, which needed a “scource” approach, all set in a restaurant called, The Awful Truth. The scenes were comedic as well as dramatic and Scott Winant, the director, needed Angel to create music, which could be playing as source music in the venue, but at the same time, for it to enhance the awfulness of the ultra trendy, uncomfortable environment, while hitting action.
